Penny Mallory is one of the few women in the world of rally driving and motoring journalists who is highly respected as an expert. She is one of the most successful women rally drivers ever and the first woman in the world to compete in a World Rally Car (the Formula One of rallying). She co presents ITV’s ’The Used Car Roadshow’ and reports for GMTV.
An accomplished broadcaster she has presented Channel 4’s highly successful series, ‘Driven’, World Rally Championships, ‘Accident Blackspots’, Discovery’s ‘Classic Car Club’ and narrated the ‘Conquest of Everest’, 50th Anniversary DVD as the descendant of the legendary mountaineer, George Mallory.
Penny had a passion for all things mechanical from an early age and a real love of engineering. At just fourteen years of age she ran away from her home in Kent to London and eventually found refuge and support in homeless hostels. She realised that to change her situation she would have to apply herself and in time worked her way to becoming a sound engineer and a graphic artist. A chance event allowed her to realise a childhood dream of driving a rally car and she was hooked. Despite being just in her early twenties she was told that she was too old and the wrong sex to start this sport. After just three months of learning how to drive a rally car, she’d put together a two-year sponsorship deal and in 1993 became the National Ladies Champion. Her unique and inspirational story shows there is no limit to what you can achieve with will power and commitment.
Penny is always pushing her own boundaries and continues to learn new skills every year. She has Diplomas (with Distinction) in Life Coaching, Counselling, Psychotherapy and NLP. She has always had to be at peak fitness for rallying and developed this interest further, training for the last year to be a welterweight boxer – she is undefeated! She is also qualified to teach adults (PTTLS) and works in a Category B prison delivering a course in Restorative Justice. Alongside this Penny looks after her two young daughters and Alfie the cocker spaniel.
Her guest features include writing and presenting her own strand 'Dashboard Divas' for This Morning (ITV). ‘Watch Dog’ BBC, Britain’s Worst Roads’ BBC and a thirteen part series for BBC UK Style 'Can Ski Will Ski', her own consumer series ‘Top Dog’ and presenting the flag ship live series, ‘Men and Motors Live’.
Penny enjoys getting the best out of life and is keen to help others achieve this also. She ran the London marathon for Bernardos and is an Ambassador for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme, Investors in People and Blackberry.
World Class Thinking, World Class Behaviour”
To thrive in today’s business world, you can’t afford to be anything less than World Class at what you do. But how can you achieve this? What makes the best people and businesses in your sector stand out? Just what is their secret of their success?
The good news is that they don’t possess any magic formulas or gifts that you can’t possess. They simply employ a few world class basics.
Penny draws on her experience as a world class driver and recalls how one’s mindset is vital for success. She expounds the importance of building and developing a team with one clear aim: combining and compounding individual talents to reach the ultimate goal of a world class performance.
She will challenge the audience to think about optimising their team’s performance by challenging existing structures, behaviours and cultures. She will highlight how you can install high performance skills and behaviours, and help team members adopt the right mental approach.
You’ll be challenged to think about new possibilities, new opportunities and new perspectives. You will be inspired to take immediate action.
“Winning from Within”
How the right mental approach will set you apart from the rest
Women tend to undervalue their own skills, achievements and experiences. This session will remind you what you are capable of, it wil open up your mind to new possibilities and opportunities.
As we grow up, we’re mostly unaware of the ‘limiting beliefs’ that are imposed on us by our environment, partners, friends and family. If anyone tells us that we ‘can’t’ do or achieve something, we may subconsciously believe that this is true. We may grow up and live our lives without ever discovering our full potential because of things that have been said or done to us in our formative years. Some people embrace these limits while others shrug them off, determined to achieve extraordinary things. Those people who limit themselves are unlikely to realise their full potential.
This session will help you to discover how your own success lies in your thinking, attitude and behaviour. As Sven-Göran Eriksson once said “…in the end it’s that psychological difference that decides whether you win or lose.”
By using the building blocks of a winning mindset, you can start to unlock your full potential, and enjoy the success you see in others. Everyone can have a winning mindset – including you!Winning involves understanding the environment, assessing the competition and knowing what resources you have available – then setting your pace and being aware of your limits.
Whatever your current level of success, you are still capable of more than you give. Leaders are often so busy, they abandon time to address their own personal development. Take yourself and your team, to the ambitious heights you see in your mind. Is your team winging it or are they strategically building skills in their roles? Are you maximizing the output of every individual? Learn how to compound small improvements to achieve extraordinary results.
You will identify the goals, strategies, and plans of your team ambition. In the creative thinking sessions you’ll investigate how these could become a reality, and exceed expectations.

“Take Control of Your Life: 9 ‘Special Stages’ to success”
To thrive in today’s business world, you can’t afford to be anything other than your best – knowing what you want to do and where you want to go with a great sense of clarity, purpose and extreme determination. The good news is that taking control is entirely a choice, and this session shows you how.
Penny Mallory, former Rally Champion and TV Presenter draws on her experience as a world class driver and will take you through nine Special Stages that will show you how to develop yourself (or a team) to reach your goals. You’ll discover what slows you down and how your own thinking heavily influences the outcome. You will understand how your own self-limiting beliefs can hold you back and that your true potential will often lie outside the comfort zone you operate in.
You will be challenged to have a good, long look at yourself and your business to understand where, and how you can take control to achieve the success you know you deserve.
“Communicate with Impact. How to ignite, influence and inspire the people around you”
If you train others, or need to deliver a presentation to a group, it will have a greater impact if you can inspire and engage that audience. Rightly or wrongly, humans make judgments about others in about 20 seconds. Whether you’re coaching graduates, developing a team to be more effective or delivering a speech to the Board, you can’t afford to be anything less than brilliant.
The session will address how you build rapport, increase trust, and understand body language, all of which will contribute to delivering engaging content that sticks.
If you think there is room for improvement, then there are a range of sessions available, from an impactful Keynote, to a high-energy break-out session and a comprehensive one day workshop. The workshop is provided by TV Presenters and writers, Penny Mallory and Jason Dawe.

The way you think will directly impact your performance. How could you think more clearly and effectively to achieve more in your life and career? With coaching, you will be challenged to consider what you do now, what you want and how you might do things better in the future.
