Biography
Anita Sands is a U.S. based board-director, author, advisor and speaker who currently serves as the James Wei Visiting Professor in Entrepreneurship at Princeton University.
A former Fulbright Scholar, she holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Management as well as a Ph.D. in Atomic and Molecular Physics.
Anita spent ten years in C-suite positions in financial services in Canada and the U.S. before pivoting into the tech sector seven years ago. Her current portfolio includes serving on the board of directors of three public companies—ServiceNow, iStar and Pure Storage—and two private companies, ThoughtWorks and NuBank.
She is also a regular contributor to Forbes.com in the areas of leadership and strategy. As a partner at Propel Performance Group, she advises organizations and leaders around the world on how to thrive in conditions uncertainty, disruption and change.

She is also proud of the fact that she holds a diploma in piano from the London School of Music and is a former national public speaking champion. Hailing originally from Ireland, Anita resides in New Jersey where she and her husband John are parents to toddler Rosie and five wonderful millennials.
