He is the fashion correspondent for BBC Radio London and RTE in Ireland. He began his relationship with the BBC Radio as the co-host of the breakfast show in 2010.

This year also sees Brendan & Sonya launched frockadvisor - a fashion app. Brendan is the Editor at large for frockadvisor’s Hotlist.

One of Irelands best known and well loved broadcasters and designers, Brendan Courtney has hosted countless TV series in Ireland and the UK including his own terrestrial TV talk show, his documentaries have changed the law, he runs his own globally successful women’s wear fashion label ‘Lennon Courtney’. He uses his profile to crusade for equality in the areas of health, housing, age and gender. This year saw him appointed to the board of
Slainte Care by the Minister for Health and sits in the advisory board of IFTA.

The author of 2 hit books on confidence and style, this year he takes on an exciting new RTE1 prime time series. He started his career as a TV researcher and in 2001 sold his first TV format ‘Wanderlust” to 19 countries. He started, ran and successfully exited his own UK TV
production company.

Brendan has hosted countless award ceremonies, live events and is a regular speaker. Having come through 4 start-ups (2 failed, 2 succeeded) he is a regular mentor in the business world. Brendan was one of the public faces of the ‘yes equality’ marriage referendum and is often called on by corporates to speak about inclusion and diversity. His most recent TV series “This Crowded House” examined the housing crisis and both of his most recent documentaries ‘We need to talk about Dad” and ‘We need to talk about Mam’ dealt with aging, housing, health care and the family.
