He regularly gives talks to companies and business leaders on personal finance matters. He also gives workshops under the auspices of The Irish Times and a number of Chambers of Commerce across the country offering people advice on how manage their money better.
Biography
Conor Pope is an awarding-winning journalist, broadcaster and best-selling author. He is the Consumer Affairs Correspondent and Pricewatch editor of The Irish Times and has weekly radio slots on both the Ray Darcy Show on Today FM and the George Hook Show on Newstalk, where he shows listeners how to make their money go further. He is also a frequent contributor to several other top-rated radio programmes on Irish radio.
He has worked extensively on television. He presented RTE One’s popular Living Lightly consumer programme broadcast before Christmas 2009 and again in the summer of 2010
and was central to Highly Recommended – a consumer-focussed panel show presented by Joe Duffy which was broadcast on the same channel a year earlier.
He presented an hour-long episode of the award-winning Primetime Investigates which focussed on shocking customer service across a range of industries and his Stop Wasting Your Money books, published in 2008 and 2009 made it onto the Irish bestseller lists.
