Biography
Oonagh O’ Hagan is a qualified pharmacist and the owner and Managing Director of the Meaghers Pharmacy Group, a group of nine physical pharmacies in Dublin and the thriving online store www.meaghers.ie, serving customers in over 60 countries all over the world. Oonagh is a driven entrepreneur and was named as Image Magazine’s ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2016, ‘Irish Tatler Businesswoman of the Year’ in 2023 and was one of the 24 finalists in the ‘Ernest and Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ program in 2021. Oonagh is keen to promote and champion other female business entrepreneurs and as such is a Lead Entrepreneur on the Going for Growth programme which supports Irish female entrepreneurs to grow and scale their businesses both in Ireland and beyond.
Oonagh credits the open and honest culture in Meaghers, together with the proactive engagement with her customers as the two most significant factors in the growth of the Meaghers business. She is proud to have Meaghers recognised as one of Ireland’s Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies for eight consecutive years, as well as one of Ireland’s Great Places to Work for the past three years reaching the TOP 30 places to work in Ireland for 2023.
