After spending over 25 years in C-level jobs in sales, marketing and general management at companies such as Desso, Armstrong and Domo Contract Flooring, Rik has always built his businesses on innovation, new business models, customer centricity and technology as a powerful enabler and now he uses that experience to inspire companies to develop their own strategy fit for a digital and connected world.
Rik started life as an inspirational keynote speaker in 2012 and since then he has given several hundreds of highly rated keynotes around the globe to international companies like Cisco, Volvo, Telia, MasterCard, Randstad, Tesla, Nestlé, IBM, Microsoft, Barco, DSM, Smurfit Kappa, Etex, EY, KPMG and Deloitte.
In 2015 he started nexxworks together with his business partners and friends Peter Hinssen and Steven Van Belleghem to work together in realising their mission: get companies ready for their Day After Tomorrow. They spend many weeks per year in Silicon Valley, China, Berlin, Tel Aviv and other
hot spots of digital innovation and are always eager to share what they have experienced and learned over there. Rik is active in several Advisory Boards and Boards of Directors. He is a frequent lecturer at London Business School, Neyenrode in Breukelen and TIAS in Tilburg.
Rik loves to combine his experience as a manager in international companies with his passion for the digital new normal in sectors such as retail, manufacturing, food and health, pharma, automotive, finance, HR, IT, logistics, sales and marketing.
