Stella O’Malley believes that mental health is central to a well-lived life and has made it her life’s work to help people live a life of their own choosing instead of letting life happen to them.

Biography

Stella O’Malley is a psychotherapist, bestselling author, and public speaker. Much of Stella’s counselling and writing focuses on mental health and the importance of well-being and she is a regular contributor to the Irish Independent, the Sunday IndependentRTENewstalk FM and Today FM.

Stella’s first bestselling book, ‘Cotton Wool Kids’, was released in 2015 while ‘Bully-Proof Kids: Practical tools to help kids grow up confident, resilient and strong’ was released in 2017.  Stella’s latest book ‘Fragile’: Why are we feeling more anxious and overwhelmed than ever before’, was published in 2019,  and focuses on overcoming anxiety and managing stress.

Stella is also the resident psychotherapist for the current RTÉ series, Raised by the Village.

This is a family programme that helps troubled teenagers reconnect with themselves and their families.
